Standard Pricing for Individual Inspections

FULL ACT VENDOR INSPECTION: (Flat rate for all homes under $1 million purchase price in metro area.) These are for vendors in ACT who need the mandatory Termite Inspection Report, Energy Efficiency Report, ACT Compliance Report, and the Building Inspections Report. These four reports are legally required for selling homes in ACT and thus packaged together in one price as below:

.

ACT Full Vendor Inspection Package 4 – 5 Days (This is standard)   $797
Defered Payment ACT Full Vendor Inspection 4-5 Days. $1,077
ACT Full Vendor Inspection Package //RUSH// Extra government fees. $1,247

Pre-Purchase Inspection Only – for purchasers:   $397
Prepurchase Building and Timber Pest Inspection: $497
Practical Completion Inspection: $397
Special Inspection: $397

The Pre-Purchase Inspection price depends on the size of the building and distance from ACT. It does not include the termite inspection or the energy efficiency rating which the above ACT package includes. See the Book Online Now page for more data on the variable rates. The distance from Canberra will have a bearing on price. Call Canberra Inspections first for an idea of price, if not sure.

Here is a sample of the additional travel costs: Yass, Bungendore – $50.   Goulburn, Captains Flat, Wee Jasper – $100.

Payment methods:

– Netbank (Details will be on your invoice)

– Pay on-site after inspection if you want to pay in cash.

For cheques, compared to electronic direct transfer between banks, allow an additional $100 to the above. That especially applies to people wanting the pay on delayed settlement. If your settlement agent is going to  pay by cheque, allow an extra hundred dollars. Cheques today require a lot of follow-up, taking to the bank and so on. For direct debit, all the prices above are valid. This $100 is not redeemable from the buyer.

You will be sent an invoice when the work is done, along with the report.

Comparing prices with other inspectors?

No problem. At Canberra Building Inspections Fast and Professional we are certain that our prices are extremely competitive and we invite you to let us know if you receive a cheaper quote.

Be sure to ask these questions to ensure that any other quotes you get are a legitimate service:

1. Do you have professional indemnity insurance?

2. Is your builder’s registration current in ACT?

3. Are your inspectors available after the inspection to comment on the report or follow up that remedial work is finished?

4. Do your detailed reports include safety checks and maintenance issues?
